Penina Waita registers convincing victory in the SGA ladies medal no.11 tournament at Karen Country Club

On a sunny and windless day playing off 21, Penina Waita carded a net score of 70 for a convincing victory at the SGA ladies medal No. 11 tournament. She finished four strokes ahead of her nearest rivals and happily accepted a reduction in her handicap to 20.

At the award ceremony, Michael Owino the SGA Commercial General Manager spoke to the ladies about the importance of securing their homes as well as their business premises. “We not only offer high quality technological security services like alarms, surveillance equipment and manned guarding; we also offer training of your domestic staff on basic Health, Safety and Security matters and how to maintain safety in your home and office.” After which Daniel Angoyia, the SGA Group Financial Controller alongside Judith Ochola, SGA Kenya Sales and Marketing Manager presented the awards to the rest of the winners.

Handicap 9 Margareta Gram was the gross winner on 83. Michelle Kanaiya played off 15 for a 74 net score to win the silver division after a count back with Margareta Gram and Eleanor Stevens.

Handicap 26 Annie Mutethia received a prize for the best first nine. Handicap 19 Sophie Njenga won the best second nine prize.

The participants at the tournament enjoyed the golf tournament as the course is in fine condition. The fairways and the greens are watered regularly using supplies drawn from the three dams located in the club grounds.
