Role Summary
SGA Kenya Ltd is seeking to recruit highly motivated, disciplined, and self-driven individuals of high integrity to join our team as Drivers. Successful candidates will be deployed at our Head Office in Nairobi and branch offices across the country.
The ideal candidates should possess extensive driving experience, a strong safety record, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Overall Purpose of the Role
The Driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable traffic laws while supporting the effective delivery of operational and administrative activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy, adequately fueled, and serviced in accordance with the company's maintenance schedule.
- Ensuring all required vehicle tools and equipment are available during vehicle handover and takeover.
- Maintaining accurate records of fuel consumption, vehicle defects, movement logs, and other required vehicle documentation.
- Completing and submitting vehicle handover and takeover forms within the required timelines.
- Reporting all vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, and any unusual occurrences promptly to the Control Room and the Line Manager.
- Maintaining regular communication with the Control Room and providing timely updates on the security situation while crews are responding to alarm activations.
- Observing all traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices at all times.
- Performing any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- KCPE and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of D+.
- A valid Kenyan Driving License.
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
- A Defensive Driving Certificate.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- A Diploma in any field, particularly Business Management or a related discipline, will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in the security industry will be an added advantage.
Experience
Applicants must have:
- Five (5) years of practical driving experience.
- Three (3) years of defensive driving experience.
