Business Development Executive (Cash in Transit)

We are seeking to recruit a Business Development Executive (Cash in Transit) who is of high integrity and self-driven to join our team of frontline staff. The successful candidate will be assigned duties at our Head office in Nairobi and branch offices. The ideal candidate should have vast sales experience, specifically in the security industry, and serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about Cash in Transit products and services.

 

Job Introduction

You will be primarily responsible for building and growing SGA’s Cash in Transit client base by identifying new business prospects (especially within the Corporate Sector) and sales leads to promote the Cash Management Solutions and convert them into customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships with your existing portfolio of clients with a view to ensuring customer retention.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify and convert new Cash in Transit sales opportunities through direct contacts, referrals, cold calling, networking, field visits and targeted industry sector initiatives.
  • Generate and maintain a healthy deal pipeline that is consistent with and aligned to the company’s business development targets for the various products and services as defined from time to time.
  • Ensure all prospective leads and deals are captured and maintained on the company’s prescribed deal management platform (Hubspot).
  • Ensure all deals and customer information and sales funnel related activities are accurately captured and consistently kept up to date on Hubspot as prescribed in the Company’s Hubspot Sales Manual as updated from time to time.
  • Prepare comprehensive and well formatted quotations, proposals and responses to bids in line with Cash in Transit prescribed templates, rates and commercial terms and in strict adherence to submission deadlines.
  • Schedule regular client visits for existing customers in your portfolio to review current service offering and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and competitors’ activities to identify areas of improvement in the company’s service delivery and opportunities to recommend or introduce new products.
  • Compile and circulate sales and client reports as prescribed by your Line Manager/BU Leader from time to time.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with dependent internal support functions e.g., Finance, Legal, respective business units, Customer Service etc, to aid in the delivery of the highest standards of service and after sales support to your client portfolio.
  • Represent the company at corporate events, exhibitions and any other sales and marketing events as assigned to you from time to time for purposes of promoting the company’s products and services.

 

Reporting Responsibility:

  •  Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager

Minimum Requirement

 

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Diploma in sales and marketing or related field
  • Knowledge of financials Payments Integrations e.g., CDM’s &other Payment Platforms
  • Highly innovative with in-depth knowledge of payment channels and customization of solutions
  • Knowledge of Integrated Security Solutions will be an added advantage.

 

Experience

At least two years sales experience having engaged in direct selling and basic marketing programs to support sales.
