CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS-TEN (10)

We are seeking to recruit Control Room Operators of high integrity and self-driven with the necessary skills and experience to join our team of frontline staff. The successful candidates will be assigned control room duties stationed at various branches. The ideal candidates should have demonstrated experience in Control Room operations in addition to the following other requirement:

 

Job Introduction

The Control Room Operators will be responsible for securing client assets through CCTV surveillance, VHF radio communication and Tracking -ECTS (Electronic Cargo Tracking System). They will be expected to monitor, identify, document, and investigate any exceptions/inconsistencies that pertain to the safety and security of our clients’ facilities, products, property, and any other assets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a full-time role, managing 24/7 operations that will call for the applicant to work outside normal working hours.

  • Incident management across all departments Response, Guarding, Tracking e.t.c
  • Perform daily control room tasks with high integrity and efficiency
  • Respond promptly to radio checks and keep accurate records of all communication
  • Monitor company vehicles and cargo trucks using our Tracking software
  • Issue field visit related equipment to staff on the instruction of the operations manager
  • Report any alarm activation to the duty security manager
  • Monitor the external security situation and provide the best routes and road status to company drivers
  • Manage the main switchboard, answer all the calls, and direct them to the right department promptly and courteously
  • Identify and recommend changes to improve our security operations

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reporting to the Control Room manager/ supervisor.


The ideal candidate

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma in information technology (IT) or higher
  • Diploma in Criminology and security studies or higher
  • Diploma/Degree in Business Management
  • Higher diploma in security Management-related field will be advantageous
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of the Kenyan security industry market rules & regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of control room related reports & processes
  • 3 years’ experience in control room set up
  • Proven track record in previous employment
  • Experience using relevant technological software’s and security equipment (CCTV, 2-way radio and security software i.e Tracking platforms, Alarm software)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning with at least 3 years’ experience as a control room operator
  • Fluent in written and spoken Swahili and English. Additional foreign languages are a plus
